There are lots of ways to use the wine related information gathered by booquet. Some of the simplest:


  • My top charts: These are the most mentioned wines on the web. We filter results 3 ways:
    • Free run is a top chart of most mentioned wines by independent bloggers
    • Blended is a top chart of most mentioned wines by indie bloggers and Twitter chat.
    • Bottled is an aggregated top chart of the most mentioned wines on the web.
  • Wine details: This is a summary page built around a specific bottle of wine.
  • Wine locator: Search for wine stores near you.
  • booquet blog: News from our team, as well as tips and musings on how to find wine you love.

  • Personalize booquet by becoming a registered user. Open an account and you're eligible for a personalized wine profile, pairing recommendations, personalized top charts and feeds:

    • Wine profile: Answer 8 questions and discover whether you are a Summer, Fall, Spring or Winter. The answer may surprise you...
    • Pairings: Find the best matches based on food, mood, dish base, occasion, or time of day.
    • My top charts: Create your own Top chart by specifying parameters you want to follow from a list of country, wine type, and/or varietal.
    • My feeds: These are pages built around the wine-related topics you specify. The possibilities are endless.

    Is everyone included in the booquet?

    Yes. booquet aggregates commercial and independent data sources in order to ensure that both old and new wine voices influence our results.

    What is a Top Chart?

    We publish 3 Top Charts: Free run, Blended, and Bottled. These charts filter distinct views of the most mentioned wines on the web as follows:

    • Free Run Top Charts represent a week's worth of independent bloggers' most mentioned wines.
    • Blended Top Charts represent 2 weeks of the most mentioned wines by independent blogs and Twitter chat.
    • Bottled Top Charts aggregate the most mentioned wines over the last 30 days on the web. This chart includes commercial sites, independent sites, news, as well as social sites.

    What do the wine box colors mean?

    Every wine type has a color to make it easy for you to scan our feeds and charts. As you use the site, you'll start recognizing red, white, rose, dessert, and sparkling wine mentions.

    How do I create a feed?

    Want to follow a wine related topic? Here’s how:

    1. Sign in and click on “My feeds”
    2. Enter search terms/tags. For example, “organic wine.” Hit “Add”
    3. Name the feed, “Jane’s organic wines” or “Organics”

    Return to the “My feeds” page to add/edit/delete feeds.

    How do I build my own Top Chart?

    Personal Top Charts are easy to make:

    1. Sign in and go to “My top charts”
    2. Select terms from country, wine type, varietal, etc.
    3. Give the chart a name

    The new chart will appear in your My top charts page.

    What happens when I Ico-follow a wine?

    Once you are a registered user, you can Ico-follow a wine. When you do, that wine automatically appears in the "wines I follow" feed.

    If you no longer want to Ico-follow a specific wine, go to that wine’s detail page, and toggle follow/unfollow to remove it from your feed.

    What happens when I Ico-love a wine?

    Clicking on the Ico-love icon means you like a wine. To get a list of all the wines you Ico-love, sign into your account and locate the “wines hearted” tab. To remove a wine from your loved list, click on the wine name. This action takes you to the wine detail page. From there you can toggle the Ico-love setting into the on/off position of your choosing.

    Commenting

    Some comments appearing on booquet show a Ico-b icon. That means the comment was generated while the user was on the booquet platform. You may also post comments from booquet to Facebook and Twitter via checkboxes located next to the Post button.

    Deleting a comment

    To delete a comment, sign into your account. Click on the “my posts” tab. Scroll through to find the comment you want deleted. Alternatively, when you are logged in to your account, you may delete a comment directly from the wine details page.
